Melvin started her culinary career in the hot kitchen when she was 19, but always knew her true calling is pastry. Now she Pastry Chef at The Commune Social in Shanghai and comes up with exciting, creative and beautiful desserts. She runs the kitchen together with the restaurant’s executive chef (also her husband) Scott Melvin. For NZ Week, Kim and her team created a dessert incorporating Whittaker's chocolate, which is still on the menu today!
